Unterhaltsam geschrieben, ich liebe Bücher von Rebecca Gable. Nachdem ich "Das Lächeln der Fortuna" vor vielen Jahren gelesen hatte, wollte ich natürlich wissen, wie es mit Robin und seiner Familie weitergeht. Als ich dann auf "Die Hüter der Rose" stieß, habe ich zugegriffen und mich wieder ins 14. Jahrhundert zurückversetzen lassen.

Really nice book, actionfilled and thrilling, but there are a couple scenes not appropriat vor children
Fabulously written, exciting plots, hard to put down and easy to love. That is the kind of style that made Rebecca so famous!

Anyone interested in the Middle Ages should enjoy this tale. It contains enough non-fiction to create a credible framework, yet develops the characters to be interesting and to keep the story flowing.
If you like historical novels, you will enjoy this book. It is the second book set in medieval England. Lots of death, intrigue, corruption and murder. It is also the history of a noble family very loyal to the house of Lancaster, some of them have a special gift with horses.
There is no book of Rebecca Gable which i have red, that has not derserved 5 Stars !!!!

Es gibt wohl keinen Mittelalter Roman von Rebecca Gable der nicht 5 Sterne verdient haette,!!!!!
Before I read this book the Middle Ages in England and France were a empty spot in my knowledge of history. I do not know enough about the topic to say anything about the accuracy of Rebecca Gablé's description of the period, but I felt convinced, and it gave me a great introduction to some of the most important historical persons and events.
It is definitely an exciting read. The fictional characters and their conflicts are quite believable, but it is the description of the historical figures that really stand out as excellent.

My knowledge of German is limited, but the language was not that hard to follow since it is written in an informal way.

I recommend it.
