Sometimes, and im sure you have seen it in many movies and books, the sequel just doesnt have the same energy or it comes across as lacking in something. not this time, not with this story. if anything i would describe Erin as grander and more explosive. the same quality of writing remains but the story develops into something much larger with alot of exciting twists and turns, treachery, and evolving plot lines. the language itself alternates from scene to scene and it seems to convey as much urgency or action as needed and then slows and becomes more languid when the story becomes quiet. When i look back at how it turned out, i think this couldnt have gone any better. In Conner i thought we had a firm layout of myth and the lore surrounding the story but Erin comes across as much of a challenge to what was laid out in the first story as much as it does reinforce it. its complicated sounding but the second story really does take you in a whole new direction to ultimately come around, and what we end up with is something very refreshing at the end.
if i could say anything about this to help others decide on whether or not to firstly get Conner and then read Erin, i would simply say that this is on the not to be missed list for the kindle.

Erin The Athol Trilogy Book 2 edition by Miranda Stork Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews
Great plot, lots of twists and turns. Love the characters and emotional twists were explained clearly. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. I can't wait to see the good guys overcome the evil ones. Highly recommend the series
Wow! Miranda Stork outdid herself with this sequel to "Conner." The plot becomes even more complex (albeit with similar themes to the first book) and the author has you guessing with each turn of the page. I love the werewolf genre and this story is fresh and new. I'd name it one of the best and most entertaining of the genre! I'd love to see more from these characters and this author's writing style. Maybe an offshoot that follows some of the lesser characters. (Miranda, are you listening? LOL.)
They say that sequels are hard-pressed to out do the original tale, but with ERIN, Miranda Stork blows that opinion out of the water. I didn't think I could love this book more than I loved CONNER, but whoa....uh-huh. Yep. Erin, Filtiarn and the crew return, this time giving us a look back (and forward) in Stork's delightfully different take on the werewolf phenomenon. What I love most about her writing is the attention to detail, both in storyline and characterization. I love her characters. End of story.
If you've read CONNER, then you've got to read ERIN. It's a moral imperative. If not, start at the beginning and lose yourself in Stork's amazing world-building and vivid imagery.
WOW..........all I can say is WOW....I loved everything about this story, especially since it was my first experience with Conner & Erin.
This is my first Miranda Stork experience, and I am glad I jumped on this book, I now know what everyone else is talking about when it comes to Conner....HOT HOT HOT!!!!!! Let's just say I have added a new fictional crush to my list............thank you Miranda Stork for a great story and for those of us who haven't read the Conner story, you- explained enough in this one to keep us wanting more of your work...Beautifully written, flowed with ease and just kept you wanting more and more..........
I look forward to more of your work...........
This book doesn't fail to continue the same suspenseful vein as Conner. It starts off with a bang and doesn't let go. While there's a few editorial mistakes, they don't completely distract the reader from the plot line. You are determined to follow along with Erin and Conner/Filtiarn as they try to discover ways to fix what had been done to them. To discover that both of Conners parents are still alive and what their purpose in the story is - so fun. I just think it was a rather quick discovery/conclusion for that particular part of this tale. I think the author summarized what was going on in her head, and it could definitely use some fleshing out to make it more interesting. That's not to say it was uninteresting, just a tad abrupt. It's a great tale of violence, deception, and love.
Erin by Miranda Stork
Destined to be together by one of the goddesses Erin and Conner are torn apart by the interference of a power hungry lesser god. Werewolves have staid hidden and vampires in the background until the curse upon them changes this forever. Reading Erin you will find the adventure that these two have to face to bring the world back into the harmony it was meant to have. Families are supposed to love you yet for Conner the only love he knows he can depend on comes from Erin. He has to face his betrayers and destroy them. Erin is the goddess's child. Loved by her mother and strengthened by her you will have to read to find out what choice she makes to save humanity and her wolves.
A story of love, betrayal and secrets this is a paranormal story that will have you turning pages and wondering what will occur next. Miranda Stork is a masterful weaver of stories. A must read. I have to say five stars are not enough to rate Erin.

Erin
I must admit that before I read this book I wasn't much of an avid fan of paranormal fantasies with werewolves in particular. But and thtat's a big but my mind has been changed recently after reading another book written by Miranda called Craving. Although that was more on the steamier side which is why I bought it in the first place I enjoyed her work enough to want to read Erin. I'm glad that I did! Miranda has done a good job in taking me away from my realities and placing me in a world where werewolves exist. She was able to seduce me into her fictional fantasy and because of that I applaud her.
This story had my mind questioning will she won't she on several occasions and that's what kept me intrigued.
Over all I can say that I am becoming a fan of this genre and I will recomend this book to anyone who loves to read about werewolves. )
