Where to start.......... Well, this installment of the Valetti Crime Family is a bit different from the rest.
We have Anthony Valetti... the absolutely gorgeous, muscled, chiseled hit man for the Valetti Crime Family. He kills without remorse and is very good at what he does. After injecting Catherine with a syringe in her hide away cabin, Anthony then takes her and brings her to his home and offers her the choice of staying and becoming his or die.
That’s when this story gets really good. I’m not giving away any spoilers other than to say these two characters’ fuse together in a way most would never understand. They both need each other in ways they sometimes do not willingly admit. That’s what I loved the most. It didn’t happen right away. They had to work hard and heal emotionally and eventually trust that submitting could be the best thing for them both. This book delivers on the suspense, mystery, drama, violence, danger and the sexy time was “OMG delicious”!!! Willow Winters, thank you……. You are right up there as one of my all-time favorite authors of this genre. Man, can you write a mafia romance. Thank you for constantly delivering the goods. By the way folks, I not only received an ARC for an honest review, I also purchased the book as well. You should too!!!!

Wow! Color me impressed! This is my first time reading Willow Winters but I can say with utmost certainty, it won't be my last. Since I was unfamiliar with Winters' work, I had no idea what to expect...but holy moly...I was shocked, and I mean in a very good way! I thought Bad Boy would be just your ordinary contemporary bad boy mafia romance but I was dead wrong. Bad Boy was about as far from ordinary as you can get. It was one of the most deliciously depraved psychological crime dramas I've ever read... but it was also so much more. Bad Boy is a riveting, fast-paced, well-crafted and well edited standalone romance with a beautifully written clearly defined his and her first-person narrative. The dialogue is smart, raw, gritty, emotional, seductive, well executed and flows effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite element of this chilling tale is the compelling cast of characters. They are captivating, complex, well-developed, extremely engaging and sexy as sin. I was immediately drawn into this story by the two protagonists, handsome hitman Anthony Valetti, and Catherine, a beautiful online blogger/reviewer/aspiring writer who is in witness protection. Most people would assume the protagonist of a story would naturally be the hero, but Anthony Valetti is about as far from a hero as you can get. He's not even your typical redeemable antihero....he's dark, damaged and dangerous... an unfeeling cold-blooded monster... until he sees Catherine. And he was magnificent! Anthony has never been one of my favorite names...until now. I'll never be able to hear the name Anthony again without shivering in fear... and then promptly swooning! Oh my! It was FABULOUS! And poor Catherine, she was just a lonely young woman with no family looking for a little fun and wound up in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people... and it cost her everything including her life. But surprisingly, sweet good girl Catherine had a few secret kinks of her own. She may have made some poor life choices but she's far from stupid. She knew she had to play the game and the man if she wanted to live. She just never counted on falling in love with him. Falling for your captor is not exactly a new concept, but Willow Winters' take on the Stockholm Syndrome in Bad Boy was terrifyingly realistic and totally mesmerizing. But please remember, folks, this is fiction and meant to be enjoyed strictly as a little naughty afternoon fantasy. Let's face it, we've all had our own delightfully wicked little daydreams. lol... Guilty! Anthony and Catherine were absolutely perfect for each other and their sexual chemistry was so hot it sizzled. My heart broke for both of these two lost, lonely souls. I cried for them, laughed with them and most definitely empathized with them. No spoilers from me but if you're looking for an emotionally gripping, all-consuming, deliciously depraved mafia crime saga filled to the brim with heart-pounding danger, dark harrowing drama, spine-tingling suspense, agonizing heartache, gut-wrenching angst, dreamy romance, fiery passion and steamy sex with elements of BDSM, then this book is most definitely calling your name. Although there is graphic language, explicit sex, and some violent content, there is no rape or forced intercourse, at least none by Anthony Valetti. However, this book is most assuredly not for the meek of heart and I would recommend it for adults eighteen and older.

And not just one time, one week or one month, but forever...even if he has to make her his prisoner, which is fine by him. Actually, he would prefer for her to fight him because he wants to break her, and I'm not talking physically. The familia doesn't usually kill women and when they do, they try to make it quick and as painless as possible. (Gee, thanks!) He would never really hurt a woman...well, unless she wanted him to...but he will dominate her. (Hubba! Hubba!) He wants to own Catherine, completely...to possess her mind, body, and soul. He knows he could never possess her heart; no one could ever love a monster like him. But he'd settle for what he could get...her obedience. He could become her master and she would become his submissive. She has no choice... be his or die. Oh my! None of his family has ever understood his dark nature, nor his sexual preferences. And they've certainly never accepted him, except for his brother Tommy. And, though, Tommy may accept him, he doesn't truly comprehend his needs, and he needs Catherine. And if Catherine wants to remain alive, she also needs him to keep her safe. He just never counted on the emotions he feels once she's in his arms. And now that he's finally found happiness, acceptance, and contentment unlike anything he's ever known, he'll never let her go. No one will take her from him, not the Cassanos nor his own blood. He has to find a way for them to be together. For the first time in his entire life, Anthony finally realizes what it truly means to love and to have someone love him in return... and sometimes that means letting them go. But will he be able to save her from the people who want her dead... including his own family? And more importantly, does Catherine really love him, or is she really just a rat playing him until she can get away? We'll see!

Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers. Will I read this author again? Most definitely! Was I entertained? Oh my lawd, yes! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read.
I received an ARC for an honest review. I LOVE Willow Winters and the Valettis. But this is a very dark story. Anthony is the gorgeous cousin and hitman to Dom Valetti. He has a damaged past. Catherine had an abusive relationship with a member of the Cassano family and saw something she shouldn't. She went to the police and told them and they put her in Witness Protection. Now she's shown up on Anthony's hitlist. He's been watching her, learning her routine and has decided she suits him and he wants her and he wants her to submit to him. He has to get permission from Dom and buy her from the Cassanos. Then he takes her away to a cabin. She's not exactly a submissive personality. He gives her 2 options be his pet or die. Some choice! He figures she'll choose life. You'll have to read to find out. The book is dark, steamy, violent. The chemistry is off the charts. There's a lot of D/s and BDSM in this book, so, be warned, if you are not comfortable with that. But the writing is superb, as always!
